About Rocky Shore Painting
Built on referrals.
Leigh started Rocky Shore Painting by doing the work himself on nights and weekends. Three decades later, the business still runs on the same principle: quality work that earns the next referral.
Our Story
From weekend side jobs to a full-time crew.
Leigh learned the trade the old-fashioned way: working for painting contractors, mastering the prep, the finish, and the discipline of a clean job site. Before long, the phone started ringing with requests for his own work. He took jobs on the side, on weekends, and after hours.
By 27, he had stepped out on his own full-time. After a couple of years running every project himself, the workload grew enough to bring on a crew. He built the team slowly, hiring people who understood that quality is the only marketing that lasts.
Most of Rocky Shore Painting's work comes from word of mouth. That only happens if the finish is right, the job site stays clean, and the homeowner feels heard. It is a simple business model, but it is hard to fake: do good work, and people will tell their friends.
Over the years, Leigh has established working relationships with general contractors, realtors, and interior designers throughout the Connecticut shoreline. Those relationships were built on trust — showing up on time, pricing honestly, and delivering work that holds up.
